Breaking Changes

This document lists recent and upcoming breaking changes to our Partner API schema. We will notify partners in advance of releasing any breaking changes to our API and provide ample time for you to adjust your queries and mutations accordingly.

Released​

2026-10-20: bank is an ID​

bank on CreateOrganizationInput and CreateOrganizationGroupInput is typed ID. The BankPartner enum is removed from the schema.

The accepted values are unchanged: the bank ID First Dollar gave you, or one listed in extensions.custodians on an AMBIGUOUS_SHARD error.

  • A value passed through variables ("bank": "G") needs no change.
  • A value written inline in the query document as an enum literal (bank: G) must be quoted (bank: "G"). The unquoted form now fails GraphQL validation before anything is created.
  • A value that is not a bank ID returns a top-level BAD_USER_INPUT error listing every accepted ID in extensions.custodians.
