A brokerage firm. The Broker-of-Record relationship is with the firm, not with individual brokers.

Fields​

BrokerageFirm.ein ● String! non-null scalar​

The Employer Identification Number of the firm, in canonical XX-XXXXXXX form.

For a firm created without an EIN this is a placeholder: 18- followed by seven digits, issued by First Dollar. The IRS does not issue EINs starting with 18, so a placeholder never equals a real EIN. It identifies the firm but is not a tax identifier. See einIsPlaceholder.

BrokerageFirm.einIsPlaceholder ● Boolean! non-null scalar​

True when ein is a placeholder issued for a firm created without an EIN, not a real EIN

BrokerageFirm.id ● ID! non-null scalar​

The unique identifier of the brokerage firm

BrokerageFirm.inactiveAt ● DateTime scalar​

The date and time the firm was deactivated, or null if it is active

BrokerageFirm.name ● String! non-null scalar​

The legal or display name of the firm
